ACC Silicones Black RTV Silicone Rubber.

A top quality RTV Silicone Casting Compound at a very sensible price. Designed to be used to make all manner of cast parts for almost any application where a black flexible rubber is required with a maximum service temperature of 200 Celsius. Make rubber tyres for models, seals, in fact anything that needs to be black and flexible. NOT suitable for making engine mounts for cars or bumper strips.

We pre-colour this RTV JET BLACK, not some half hearted semi-black or very dark grey and when cured in a nice polished mould gives a wonderful glossy finish. Obviously if the mould is matt then the silicone will reproduce a matt finish.

The RTV Silicone is most suited to pouring into a rigid mould of either grp or a machine tooled plastic like polyurethane. It should work with our thermoplastic granules that some people know as polymorph. Cured via a transparent catalyst with easy addition ratio of 5% (20:1) the potlife is huge at well over two hours yet the cure and demould still possible within 24 hours at 23 degrees.

Fume free and harmless when handled correctly*, an ideal solution for many people. Whether you need to make a replacement seal for a car lamp lens or rubber for separating a door mirror from the door skin to act as a damper or even a seal for a vacuum chamber, this will work a treat.

It will also make all those little hard to come by rubbers in use in the RC Hobby Market as well as dinky little tyres for cast cars and more. Your imagination is the limit!
