Welcome to the TOMPS Catalyst Section. All our kits come equipped with pre-measure catalyst sufficient for the quantity of material supplied. However there are occasions where a top up of catalyst is required. For example you may choose to use an addition ratio of 4% for Polyester Resin, we only supply 3% with our kits as this is usually enough, so you might need extra. Or indeed you might tip the pot over and require replacement.

Its important to remember however that under normal curcumstances we will not supply catalyst as a stand alone product, in particular MEKP catalyst will NEVER be supplied unless you have purchased a Polyester Resin or Gelcoat. The nature of MEKP means it can be used in explosives manufacture and we take this responsibility seriously. Therefore please do not ask us to supply only MEKP or any other catalyst. Exception may be made at our discretion for example you have an account with us, are known to us or have purchased from us for a period of time. If you purchase only MEKP we will cancel your order and refund you.

However we do understand that mistakes happen and we do want to allow you to use materials purchased and as such, spare catalysts are available. These include catalysts for Polyesters, Epoxies and Silicones. Please make sure you select the right catalyst for the right product. If unsure, then contact us.
