We do have catalyst dispensers and syringes for that job, however this can measure more than any of them.Bein accurate means it can also be used for ANY volumetrically added product. Generally speaking thats our new Viscolo RTV or indeed our 1:1 Rigid Expanding Foam. Products designed for measuring by weight should never be measured volumetrically for two reasons. Sand it with wet & dry paper and coat it with a primer. (It may also need to be thoroughly cleaned with a solvent to remove any mould release agent)On a hull which has been antifouled previously, ensure the new paint is compatible with the old one, or apply a barrier coat (ie. Primer). Ensure the substrate is not flaking; do not dry sand it. If changing to FLAG CopperQuick it is recommended to remove any other non-PTFE based paint first.Check the minimum period you need to leave between coats and minimum or maximum time the boat should be left out of the water between painting and relaunching. Keep cans of paint indoors until you need them. The paint will be easier to apply if it is not too cold.Use good quality masking tape to mask off the waterline. If you add too much size to your plaster mix it will still harden, it might take a long time but it will harden. Tri sodium can fully inhibit plaster hardening processes.Our guide to making a batch of this product is to add 1kg Glue Size crystals to a gallon bucket of very hot water. Dissolve the crystals full keeping the heat in the water, do not allow to cool, you will ned up with a solid block. Next take half the amount of hydrated lime 500g in this case, and fully disperse. Now allow the mixture to cool.This mix may be too strong for your needs, if it is, split it in half and add an equal amount of hot water to both halves to achieve the right concentration. The only way to establish this is by running pot tests. You should always use the same pot to add size to water prior toi adding plaster, this will help regulate set times. A long handled tar brush richly filled with coco bristles. Made in the UK by professional brush manufacturers who know how to make a brush! This is not a cheap Chinese import that will lose half its coco the first time you shake it! The bristles are bound via a stainless steel ferrule.Prior to use you should gently shake the brush and remove the shorter bristles that fall away. The brush should then be soaked for a minimum of 24 hours in cold clean water. This has two effects. Firstly the coco takes on water, swelling. In the same fashion, so does the wooden handle. This is one fantastic fast cast that has most of the small scale scenery manufacturers in a spin over its properties! With a 4-6 minute potlife and around 30 minutes to cure, this is one fast resin! However it doesnt stop there. It has an unbelievably low viscosity of 40 mpas, thats about the same fluidity as milk!WE NOW OFFER A SLOWER VERSION! The potlife on the slow version is only maybe an additional minute, but the cure is extended as a result. However the final plastic is very strong. Use the slow version when pouring much thicker sections. Data for both products is below, just click the tech links! So for home hobby casters who dont have expensive degass and pressure casting systems in place, this may succeed where other resins and fast casts fail to eradicate air! That doesn't mean however that you can expect micron details to replicate faithfully without pressure casting!We have customers who have managed to cure this product in sections of less than 1mm thickness! Warm the cured product up a little in thinner sections and you can form it with the heat, thicker sections will resist this.The product comes unfilled, so you the user can modify it or just use it as is. We recommend BLR Calcium Carbonate as an impact resistance and resilience improver since its unlikely to affect viscosity that much. Looking to cheapen up your casts? Either PU3660 for 2-15mm section or DR006 for 5-50mm sections.PU3660 kits are supplied as 1.835kg kits and DR006 in 2kg kits. NOTE DR006 is discontinued and we have only FOUR kits remaining! Compared with a Polyester PU3660 cures like a rocket. It has a potlife of around 15 minutes and demoulds in just ONE HOUR! DR006 has a longer 45 minute potlife, but will still demould in around 12 hours.. Faster than Epoxy or Polyesters, but moisture intolerant. Recommended for use in addition cure moulds only! Either resin is optically clear, low viscosity, though vacuuming is recommended for the best clarity results.
