Degussa Curox M300 Medium Activity MEKP Hardener. Designed to be used with Polyester resins and gelcoats to harden the product. As a medium activity hardener this is our most popular catalyst for GRP and can be added at 1-4% by weight (10-40g per kilo) or 8-36 ml per kilo. Do not attempt to weigh out your resin volumetrically as this will reduce your overall catalyst addition ratio since the Specific Gravity of polyesters is less than one, a litre will weigh over a kilo.

If you really need to use volumetric measuring, you should opt for somewhere between 2 and 3 percent, that way you should never over catalyse your resin causing laminate softening or excess exotherm leading to thermal shear and cracking.
